Porches

The first thing to understand is that a Porch is really a mini extension.Planning permission may be needed, there is the groundwork, possibly building work with some brickwork, the framework of course, most of the glazing has to be 'toughened glass', and on most properties a roof will be needed for it to sit under.

The main benefits of having a porch are:

  • Increased security, and you may be able to see who is at the front door better.
  • There will be increased insulation.
  • Good looks, you can add a porch to make a attractive feature to your property.
  • It can provide handy extra room for parking bikes, wellies and brollies, etc.
  • A porch can add great kerb-side appeal and value to your property.
